Working Student — AI-Assisted Full-Stack Developer

The project

B2H is building a modern web platform designed to turn complex workflows into simple, reliable user experiences.

The product combines a React-based interface, Node.js services, MongoDB data management and external APIs to deliver a scalable full-stack application. The goal is to build a functional MVP with a clean architecture, responsive interface and production-ready foundations.

You will join a team working across software, AI and machine learning, contributing directly to the development and integration of the product.

This position is designed for a working student who wants to gain real-world experience building production-oriented applications while using modern AI-assisted development workflows.

Your mission

Work as a Full-Stack Developer to develop, improve and maintain the application's frontend, backend, database and integrations.

You will use Claude Code and AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow, while remaining responsible for understanding, reviewing, testing and improving the code you produce.

The objective is not simply to generate code, but to use AI effectively while maintaining strong engineering practices, clean architecture and reliable software.

Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

  • Develop and maintain features across the frontend and backend
  • Build responsive and interactive interfaces with React.js
  • Develop REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js
  • Design and implement MongoDB schemas and data models
  • Connect frontend components with backend services
  • Implement authentication, authorization and user management
  • Integrate external APIs and third-party services
  • Debug existing features and resolve technical issues
  • Refactor and improve existing code when necessary
  • Write reusable, maintainable and well-structured components

AI-Assisted Development — Claude Code

  • Use Claude Code to accelerate development and problem-solving
  • Work with AI agents to analyze existing codebases and implement features
  • Write effective prompts and development instructions
  • Review AI-generated code before integrating it
  • Test and validate AI-generated implementations
  • Identify bugs, security issues and architectural problems introduced by AI-generated code
  • Use Claude Code for debugging, refactoring, documentation and codebase exploration
  • Learn to combine AI-assisted development with conventional software engineering practices

Testing & Quality

  • Test new features before delivery
  • Debug frontend and backend issues
  • Perform API and integration testing
  • Verify responsive behavior and user flows
  • Review code for reliability, security and maintainability
  • Use Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Document important technical decisions and implementations

Deployment & Integration

  • Connect frontend, backend and database services
  • Configure environment variables and application configuration
  • Assist with deployment and cloud configuration
  • Work with Docker where appropriate
  • Monitor and troubleshoot deployed applications
  • Follow basic security and production best practices

Knowledge of AI APIs, authentication systems, cloud platforms, testing frameworks or CI/CD is a plus.

Who we are looking for

  • Currently studying computer science, software engineering, IT or a related field
  • Have practical experience with full-stack web development
  • Good understanding of JavaScript and the MERN stack
  • Comfortable working with React.js, Node.js and MongoDB
  • Familiar with REST APIs and Git
  • Have experience using Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools
  • Understand that AI-generated code must be reviewed, tested and validated
  • Able to navigate and understand an existing codebase
  • Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks
  • Curious about AI-assisted software development
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Good communication and ability to work in a collaborative team
  • Willing to learn and take responsibility for delivered features

Working format

This is a working-student position designed to be compatible with university studies.

You will work on real product development, with clearly defined technical tasks, regular communication with the team and the possibility to progressively take ownership of larger features.

The workflow is AI-assisted, with Claude Code used as a development tool alongside traditional engineering practices.
